I made up this song it goes, "Kenneth is a lemur, a lemury lemur, the lemuryest of the lemurrrrrrs..." I don't know. I'm kinda excited about school starting tomorrow, not like yay! excited, but like "I hope everything goes well and I 'm sort of nervous," kind of excited.
I totally re-did my wardrobe today. I went through my closet and seriously evaluated and things I haven't worn in awhile I put in a bag and they will go to donation. I actually got rid of a lot of stuff. But today I also went shopping and bought myself a lot of new stuff. I'm trying to expand and get lots of colors and lots of things I might not have picked out right away, because my wardrobe consists of a lot of just blue jeans and t-shirts with designs or whatever printed on them. And there is a lot of pink and black. So I got like a yellow shirt, some green, gray, purple, tan etc. I'm pleased so far but not finished. I also bought Kenneth two pairs of shoes and he said he's never had more than one pair of shoes at a time. I want to get a couple more things, like some red and some blue and then some more pants cuz I only got one pair of gray jeans and then some sweat pants for lounging around the house doing homework or whatever. Oh and I need some shoes cuz my sneakers are gross. I also stopped by the Mac counter and the girl helped me pick out a pretty light pink lipstick, it's called "snob."
Ok so my uncle is coming down from Nevada, or over from Nevada however you say it, tomorrow. He was working for this good company, but then in the recession the company collapsed and he lost his job. He put in applications for every job he was qualified for all over the country and it took him a really long time but he finally found a really good one close to where he lives but he still has to move. He will be living at the place he's working at but they only accept dogs under 20 pounds and he has a bloodhound. Her name is Gracie and she is coming to live with us, because he wants her to go to a good home, he is sad but knows she will like living here because we have a bunch of other dogs and we take them out for walks every day and love and cuddle them and treat them like family. So I'll be meeting Gracie tomorrow after school I guess. Well I'm going to pick out my clothes for tomorrow and get my backpack all ready and read some before bed, wish me luck, goodnight! Oh yeah I painted my nails the Glitzerland color and its sooo pretty I love it!

Alesana, first day of class, zoo!
Ok so I've been skipping out on blogging for awhile and there was a lot of stuff I've wanted to write about so I finally got some time tonight. I'll just go in order of how they happened. First I got my CDs in the mail yay, I ordered a bundle of all three Alesana CDs on sale. First I listened to When Myth Fades To Legend because I thought it was the first one they put out but then I realized it was the second one but anyway I thought it was really good. Then I listened to On Frail Wings Of Vanity and Wax and I liked this one probably a little bit better and I also knew some of the songs on here even though I do think the singing and screaming were both a little better on the other one. Then I listened to The Emptiness. Wow. That's all I can really say, I was amazed at the whole concept and the whole album. The whole album connects and tells a story that continues in each song. It came with two booklets, one had the lyrics and they really told a story in just the lyrics themselves, but in the other booklet there is more to the story, it explains it a little more clearly and in depth. So I would read a chapter, then listen to the song and read along with the lyrics and then pause the CD, read another chapter and so on and I got so involved in the story but had to stop in the middle to go do some stuff and I couldn't wait to get home and finish! It was really amazing I've never seen an album that does that, maybe there is some out there but I was impressed with this one.
So then I went to get my parking pass for school and my books. A parking pass for one freakin semester is 300 bucks. Damn. Then I went to the bookstore with my 4 page long list and got a basket and it was overflowing. I needed 17 books plus the one that I borrowed from Luke's brother for my class at the other school. So 18 books in all its so ridiculous. I heaved my basket onto the counter and the girl working there was like "I see a lit major!" Yeah that's me. Except my emphasis is on writing but apparently they want my eyeballs to fall out from reading so much. Oh and some of the books are INSANELY huge. I hope I don't have to carry those ones back and forth to class.
So on Wed I went to my first class at the other school. I was surprised to learn that my teacher is deaf, she teaches using a translator. I mean, it's not that strange, it is a sign language class but it was surprising. She didn't feel well so she just took roll (is it roll or role?) and then let us leave super early. Nice. So all my classes will really start next week. I was feeling sort of agitated and nervous about having to spend two and a half hours in between school switches twice a week, but I'm just gonna go to the lab or find a cozy place on campus to read and do my homework, maybe eat some dinner, it will be my "me" time sort of. I kind of like this being a big girl thing. =) I hope I'm not overwhelmed by school, I mean, I need to get good grades to boost my GPA, but I've been thinking about it and I really need and want to get some work done on my own work, my own stories. It's important and my confidence has been going up and down all over the place about it, I need to start submitting short stories and poems to publications. I did one last semester, they didn't accept it =( but it was the first and only thing I've ever submitted I have to expect lots of rejection.
Yesterday I went with Kenneth and Luke to the zoo! The world famous San Diego Zoo. It was such a nice day, the weather was perfect, it was sunny and Ken had the whole day off. Luke has a year pass and he got 2 free passes with it so we went fo FREE. We saw so many animals except the pandas cuz they are retarded. My favorites were the hippo because he looks like Sam and the Secretary Bird and the Flaming-O, I kept calling them that I don't know why. And then this lady told us more than we ever wanted to know about tortoises. The big ones that live for like 150 years. And we saw monkeys and elephants and giraffes and a leopard and tiger and lion and um, other stuff. We stayed all afternoon, we even stayed for a half hour past closing time, no one kicked us out. Then we went to Happy Noodle and I got Moo Shu and then to Luke's. Zach came over and we all played our new game and his brother joined us too.
So I have one more day, tomorrow before dun dun dun...my next semester starts. Wish me luck!
Oh yeah, I'm probably going to get a webcam so I can make videos and Skype.

random schmandom
I'm listening to Aly and AJ which is weird and trying to work on one of my stories. I couldn't decide which one to work on, and now that I finally picked one, I can't think of what to write. Today was boring. I read a lot of my book on my Kindle. I like the story, it's interesting to me simply because it was written in the 40's but otherwise it's just a girl's thoughts when she first falls in love. It's just her going on dates with this guy Jack and I think that it wouldn't be interesting if I were to read it back then, but then again, maybe it would because there weren't a lot of things written from that point of view during that time.
The weather was so nice today, I laid outside for awhile and read. I got a new OPI, it's called Glitzerland. Kenneth picked it out for me cuz I couldn't decide haha I think he just grabbed a random one so we could leave. I haven't tried it out yet cuz I'm still wearing Fancy Schmancy. Ahhh is it too early to wish it was summer already? Seriously, I'm not really looking forward to this next semester, I'm just going to have so much. And I'm really dreading the two and some odd hour break in between classes twice a week. Plus I'll have to spend it at a school I've never been to before. But then I was thinking, well why don't I just hang around the university and do my homework, there are plenty of little corners and places I could snuggle myself into and then I won't be distracted by anything and get a lot done and then just be sure to give myself plenty of time to get to the other campus. Blaaaaaah and I'm taking my first 400 level class and I wonder if it will be really hard or different from 300 levels. I want to tell you my classes but then I don't want people knowing my exact schedule just to be safe. At least none of them are early in the morning. One of my classes starts Wed and the rest start the next Mon. Scary!
Haha I got a text from Luke that said, "NEWS TEAM, ASSEMBAAAAAAAALLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!" Our "news team" hasn't hung out for a little while, his phone was lost. We're probably gonna have a BBQ tomorrow. Cuz that's what we do. That's how we roll. Like a G6. Whatever. I'm out of here to try to work some more.

Last days with Shea and stupidness
So the day before yesterday I went with Shea and Luna to In N Out because Shea wanted to go, she had never been, I guess they only have those in CA, AZ and NV. So we went to the beach and watched the sunset over the ocean and ate and it was romantic haha. Anyway then we went and walked down to the end of the pier and back and then walked around the street fair for a bit. Then they asked if we could go to the pirate bar and they said they would only get one drink so I agreed (I had to be the driver). They got their drinks and played with the jukebox the whole time and I had a sprite. There was this guy with a tiny baby baby puppy and he asked if one of us would hold her while he played foosball. We agreed, but it was really weird. She was so cute, her name was Nicole (sort of weird for a dog but whatever) and she looked like a chocolate lab, we forgot to ask. Then I told the girls they could get another drink if they wanted to, and while they were gone a guy asked if he could sit with me. Sigh. Sometimes I just want to be like, "you know, before you waste your time trying and all, I'm married." But he seemed to want to talk and didn't hit on me so I talked to him for awhile. It might be because he was drunk but he was a horrible conversationalist, he should really work on that. But I heard the usual, "what are you drinking, I'm a marine from Texas, blah blah," he was sort of nice I guess and didn't try too hard but yeah, not gonna be interested sorry. And then when the girls came back he was like, "oh I'll get up," and they were like ok good and sat back down and he kind of mumbled "well that's fucked up," and left. Well well, now we see your true feelings. It's not like I went there to hook up or make friends is it so hard to just want to hang out with your girlfriends? I saw some other girl getting hit on by some guy and she wasn't having it either. She was there with her girlfriends too. I wished Kenneth could have gone but he was at work. I told him about the whole night, he thought it was funny, he doesn't get mad about me hanging out or doing stuff or talking to other people like some stupid moron exes I know.
Then last night my sister had a party at her place. It was fun, I didn't know anyone really well, but I had met most of the people there before. Except of course I knew Shea and Luna and Kris and my dad lives with them too so I made him come out of his room and mingle. It was a sort of "dress-like-a-raver" theme, so I wore rainbow makeup and fuzzy pink boots and a couple kandies. Leela had her hoops, she's like a professional hoola-hooper which is really interesting, she's really good at it too. I got really drunk. My dad let me have some of the tequila we got him for Christmas and it was strong stuff. Kenneth came to pick me up when he got off work and hung around for a bit and then we left. I puked. =( Only a little. Haha I suck. And I was hungover alllllll day today and Kenneth was sick cuz he ate something bad so he stayed home from work. Shea went back home today, sad stuff but Ken said he might get me a webcam so I can Skype. And as promised in the title, here is the stupid stuff.
I don't know why, but it's my mission in life to give everyone a retarded scene name. It's stupid but it's also really funny. Here's the ones I gave everyone so far. Jessica Jailbait, Kenneth Killface, Loserstomper Luke, Zombie Killer Zach, Luna Lycanthrope (not sure how to spell it) and I gave Shea one last night, Slayer Shea. Oh and dad is Calamity Clyde. Or as he calls himself Japanese Jesus. And we did give Troy one, but Luke helped so now he is Troy the Tyrannical Toddler Tickler. Not my fault okay?

sort of disappointing day ends well
So Monday we all picked up my sister's friend Shea at the airport. She's so cool! We invited all of our friends over and everyone got really drunk and we all played Rock Band and us girls took turns singing, (very loudly). We haven't had that big or rowdy of a gathering in awhile but it was great fun. Plus I never get to hang out with girls, I'm usually the lone girl and its okay with me but sometimes I just want to hang with some females. So the next day we were supposed to have our super secret squirrel mission, I don't know why but when I was drunk I wrote Luke a note and it took him 2 hours to remember to read it and in it I asked if he wanted to join our super secret squirrel mission, no idea why I called it that. Later I explained that we were going to take Shea to Hollywood because she had never been there. So we were all gonna go the next day, but Beth had an appointment and I was all hung over so we decided to go today. But Beth didn't feel well and remembered she had another thing to do so me, Ken and Luke were gonna go to the zoo cuz he had free passes. BUT then it ended up being so late that we decided not to go and we sat around playing with his cats and eating salt water taffy and talking in his living room forever. THEN we went to Target and bought a game, it was called What's Yours Like? and it was pretty fun. After that we went to Olive Garden cuz me and Ken had a gift card and then we went back to Luke's and watched Family Guy and Blue Mountain State on Netflix with his brother and his brother's friend. Family Guy=yes, BMS= no. Distracting trumpet! Haha that made me laugh until I cried. So basically I was so excited about today because I really wanted to go to Hollywood plus I like taking people places they've never been and Shea and Luke have never been there. Then I was all disappointed and then we were going to the zoo and I was all excited again, but then we realized how late it was and that the zoo closes at 5 and I got all disappointed again. But in the end, at least I was with Ken and Luke and we're all happy and healthy and that's all that matters.
Oh I completely forgot to mention, my birthday present from my mom came in the mail a couple days ago! It was a Kindle!!!!!! Wow I've never gotten that nice of a present before, I really like it. I think it's useful for my future profession(s) too and college because I can get some of the millions of novels I have to buy on there and it will be cheaper. I'm impressed too because I've been looking for this out of print book called Seventeenth Summer, it was written in the 1940's and I just looked it up on my Kindle and found it right away and bought it for only 6 bucks. I also got the fifth Sookie Stackhouse novel (True Blood). To be honest, when I read the description it sounded completely boring. But the last one was sooooo good that I'm hoping it will be interesting, I want to read all of them. Oh yeah the reason I got Seventeenth Summer is because it was one of the first novels really written for the YA genre. I want to read lots of YA books because that is the genre I mostly want to write for, it's like studying up or doing research. Well I guess that's all.
Oh one more thing real quick, they added more bands to Warped today and I got one of my wishlists kind of. The Ready Set! They also added Simple Plan which I think is kind of weird. Have they done anything new? They must have. Anyway I'm out of here.

Best Days Of 2010
Last post I said I wanted to do a best days of 2010 so here it is! Before I start, there's probably lots of days that were good but these are the ones I remember off the top of my head. (This might be a long post).
First one is: The Day I Got My AA Degree In the Mail! Guys, I've been going to community college off and on since I graduated high school when I was 18. So to finally finish something that I started years ago felt so good. I petitioned to graduate and then they said I was all good and they'd send me my degree. I didn't want to walk, I dunno, I think it would sort of feel like graduating from preschool. I'll walk when I graduate from my University. But I got it and I was so proud of myself, I actually have a degree. Now for my bachelor's. Workin on it.
Second one is: Halloween! So the Halloween before last I just borrowed my sister's Strawberry Shortcake costume and invited a few friends and my sis over and we watched the 100 Scariest Movie Moments ever which we watch every year and I sort of had fun but I was like "next year I'm gonna get an awesome costume and go to a party!" So this past Halloween, I wanted to be a sailor and was looking for a costume in the store and my dad pointed out this 70's Disco Chick costume made by Playboy and said that it looked really cool. So I tried it on just for fun along with my sailor one I picked out but I ended up really liking the Disco chick! It's hard to describe but it had pink orange and white swirls and it had bellbottoms and it showed my tummy which kinda was weird but anyway, I liked it. And I did super super sparkly makeup and it was cute. Ok I swear I'm getting to the point. So me, Kenneth (who was a gothic priest) and Luke (who was a hippy/himself) and Troy (who was umm, that ninja guy I forget from what) all went to a party thrown by this guy in one of me and Troy's classes. He's really chill but his party no offense sucked. I mean for a college party it was good but just not what I'm into. There were so many people that I could hardly move and it was freezing out back so I went inside and it was really hot and I was just standing there, and then the cops came. They didn't break up the party and eventually left but there was no music, no one dancing, super crowded and people were spilling stuff and breaking stuff and being really irritating and then this guy threw up all over this little girl that was sitting on the floor. (She wasn't actually a little kid but she was small). I was standing in that spot like 2 seconds before. She screamed at him and ran off to the bathroom with her friends but I was like, this is dumb and plus they were all out of beer. So I was like "guys, I hate this and I don't want to get thrown up on can we please go?" So we left and just went to Luke's.
Then we (me, Ken, Luke and Zach who was Kermit the Frog and he had the cutest frog feet!) went to Monster Bash I think the Sat before Halloween (which was on a Sunday I think). We went to the Gaslamp in SD and we had tickets and everything and stood in line forever and finally got in. We walked around got some drinks and then decided to go to some of the bars or clubs. Basically Monster Bash takes up a whole block downtown and then you can get into this whole list of clubs and bars in the area with no cover and discounts on drinks all night until 1 or 2 am can't remember. We walked around and could NOT find any of the places on the list. We found I think 2 that we didn't want to go to and I was like I really want to go to the Sky Bar. We walked around forever and it was freezing and finally found it. We waited in line for like an hour and it was almost midnight and that was when they stop letting you in and it was horrible. We paid for these tickets, wasted the whole night and we were like next year we're not doing ANYTHING for Halloween. BUT, we finally got in just before midnight. It was so awesome!! It was on top of this hotel, on the roof and there was a DJ and a bar and a huge fire pit with comfy chairs and people were dancing and drinking and you could see the whole city all lit up and I love love city skyline views they just make me feel so happy I can't describe it. I drank too much and went into the bathroom and almost threw up but I didn't and I just stayed in there until I felt better and then I went back out and Luke was like "this is awesome!" and I danced forever with Kenneth and Zach and then kicked Luke out of the chair to warm up by the fire, (I was the one who waited and got the chair but I let him sit in it while I danced). It was really fun, I had a good time.
The third one is: Warped Tour!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been wanting to go to Warped foreverrrr and I finally went. Kenneth's aunt asked us if we would take his 14 year old cousin Holly and her friend Monica. Holly was only allowed to go if we took her, so we agreed and his aunt bought one of our tickets so we would only have to buy one which was really nice! I looked up some of the bands playing and found a few that I really fell in love with. We also took Zach with us since he is the only one of our friends who sort of likes the same music we do. We got in line and it was an insanely long line but we didn't wait that long and got in just as it started. We got one of the lineup papers and the girls circled the ones they wanted to see and we circled ours. First band we all went to see was Breathe Carolina because they were the first ones playing that I knew of. I had a few of their songs like That's Classy and I.D.G.A.F. I was so glad we saw them because they were amazing and ended up being my favorite. They had so much energy and jumped into the crowd and they were just so much fun. Next I had a dilemma. Hey Monday and We Are the In Crowd were playing at the same exact time and I couldn't choose! I asked the guys which we should see and Zach said "well you really seem to like WATIC so I think we should see them." Then I saw that Hey Monday was signing autographs at a certain time so I decided I would see WATIC and then get Hey Monday's autographs. We dropped the girls off at Anti-Flag and stood in the front of the stage. I love them! Taylor was losing her voice though, but she still sounded good and they played all the songs I wanted to hear. Some stupid guy was trying to start a mosh pit and just no, that is not the moshing kind of music. He ran into some poor girl in front of me so I shoved him out of the way and stuck my elbow out so if he came back he'd get an elbow in the face. He finally stopped. Anyway then we all met up and me and Kenneth spent so much money on just water and we shared one chicken thing. We looked at all the booths and then stood in line for Hey Monday autograph signing. There was a box of posters on the ground which was nice so I grabbed one and had them sign it. Cassadee wasn't there (sad face, she's the one I wanted to meet the most) but the guys were all there and they were so nice! And Alex told me he liked my hair, haha! (I had rainbow clip-in extensions).
So next we went to see Reel Big Fish. I've seen them twice before but they're definitely worth seeing again. They were hilarious as usual and really fun and they played a lot of songs and ones I wanted to hear. Then we went to chill by the side of the stage and I could see them through the fence and took some pictures. We met back up with the girls again and Ken and Holly were ready to go already but I wouldn't leave without seeing Automatic Loveletter. They were so good and the crowd was small and it was starting to cool down a little and it was nice. I touched Juliet's hand ZOMG teehee. And THEN she was like "well guys if you want to hang out we'll be over by our merch tent after and we can all chill and talk and stuff." !!!!!!!! And guess what happened? Everyone else wanted to leave and so we left! Lame! Ken was all sunburned and Holly was tired and me and Monica whined because we wanted to stay and Zach I don't know I guess he was neutral. Not only did I have a chance to hang out with a band I really like, but I wanted to see Eyes Set To Kill later. Kenneth promised that next year we would stay the whole day and he would bring lots of sunblock and we would save up and bring more money so we can buy some stuff and bring water bottles. At least I got to hear Mayday Parade play Black Cat as we were leaving and also The Pretty Reckless was playing Make Me Wanna Die.
Next is Fearless Friends Tour!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's a lot of exclamation points. Dude seriously, best concert ever and I've been to a lot of concerts. Me and Ken were among the like 10 people who thought, "let's get there early so we can get a good spot and not be assholes and shove our way to the front." We met the bass player from Transmit Now and he was so nice and we listened to his CD and I actually really liked it so we bought it and he was like, "your eyes match your hair." And for a second I was like WTF? Because I had the same rainbow hair extensions in and then I remembered that I did rainbow eyeshadow. So we were standing in line forever and Ken taps me and says "who's that?" and points behind us a few feet and I was like "is...that...Kyle? Nah it can't be." But eventually I realized it was. So I was like ummm I don't have anything to sign and I don't want to annoy him so let's leave him alone. And he left. Then I tapped Ken and was like, "who's that?" and pointed to David standing by the door. But he was talking to some girls and I didn't want to be the annoying fan who comes up right when he's trying to get some chick's number so I left him alone as well. After the concert however we were like "WTF we have a camera we could've asked for a picture and why would they be standing out there if they wanted to be alone we are so stupid ahhhh!!!" Really I'm smacking myself still for that. We should've at least talked to Kyle since he was alone. Anyway we got a pretty good close (second row-ish) spot a little to the left of the stage. First The American Secrets played and they were fun. (They're the band that won the freecreditscore.com competition.) Then was Artist vs. Poet. I liked them! Except for: lead singer, you're lovely but seriously its called a hairbrush. Love it. Use it. I'd already heard a couple of their songs and for one of them David came out and sang a little bit! Oh yeah something was wrong with their bass amp I think and the singer's mic was too soft but still all good. Then was Go Radio. Yaaa, ummm. not feelin it sorry. I just...ok I didn't really like their music but there was something that made it 10 times worse. There were these huuuuuuge sweaty guys and they had some friends too and they totally rushed the stage and squashed the hell out of us. Like what are you thinking, you will magically morph through people's bodies and end up on the stage? Then they tried to start a mosh pit. I mean, I understand if you want to stand in the front you'll get moshed but this was NOT moshing type of music. This guy actually pushed me so hard I fell on the ground and got a huge bruise and Ken shoved him halfway across the room, but still I sort of lost it and shoved and punched and went crazy on him and he started laughing and told Ken he was sorry. Jerk. K next was Every Avenue and they had pretty good songs and were kind of funny, but by this time I was tired from standing for so long, still a little upset and sore from being pushed and elbowed by sweaty Go Radio fans and my back was hurting so bad and I just wanted Breathe Carolina to come on. Which they did next!
OMGHHKP. I sound like a stupid ridiculous fan girl but seriously I looooove them. They had 10 times more energy than at Warped I mean they blew that place UP. They were all over the place and everybody was jumping and screaming and I was jumping all around and going crazy... They played my favorite songs plus ones I didn't think they'd do. I'm the Type Of Person To Take It Personal, Down (cover), and Have You Ever Danced and a bunch of others. And you know, I love David but I think Kyle really steals the live shows. He stage dived on us!!!! Ken had a crucial part in him not dying and I held up his shoulder but really I just wanted to touch him, shhhh don't tell. ;) Anyway and then a kind of weird thing happened toward the end of their set. David was over near me grabbing hands and I reached out and locked fingers with him and he stuck my hand in his hair. Which was all sweaty. But I didn't care really haha. I wiped it on Ken anyway and told him it was David- sweat and he looked at me weird but didn't really care either.
So last of all was Mayday Parade and I liked them before, but this concert was kind of amazing. It was sort of spiritual. (Not really.) They were playing their hearts out and I reached out and touched a little bit of that, singing the songs along with them...yeah. Best moments were Jamie All Over (loved that song forever now), and when they sang Miserable At Best with the other guy who used to be in the band (now in Go Radio) and the entire crowd sang the entire song with them it was sort of beautiful. They really had a lot of energy as well. The guitarist (the one with the beard who pretended to sing in the Jamie All Over Video) threw a bottle cap and it stuck to Kenneth's shirt and I grabbed it and now I have a lucky bottle cap. I still liked Breathe best but I couldn't believe how great Mayday was. (And still smacking myself for ignoring the Breathe guys). We took video clips and filled the card, they're hard to hear but still amazing to watch.
Last was Hey Monday concert!!!!!!! I was online and *gasp!* I saw Hey Monday was playing at this little local concert place. And *double gasp!* We Are the In Crowd was opening for them!!!! We got a good spot, a little further back than we were at Mayday but still close enough. WATIC was first. I freaking love them but Taylor had bronchitis but still was amazing. Seriously I will see them someday when Taylor is not sick! Then something weird happened. This Century was supposed to play and they got all their stuff set up and their band, but the lead singer just was too sick to do the show. So Hey Monday's merch guy jumps on the stage and does an impromptu Blink182 song. He was really good! It was fun but my back was hurting again and I sort of wanted to get on with it. They did 3 Blink songs and then left. Next was The Ready Set. Aw he's so adorable. But he needed a better wardrobe. I actually looked up some more of his songs later cuz I liked them a lot. Then it was Cartel. Cool. Why did they sing My Friend's Over You? I liked them fine but I was so tired and it was taking sooooooo long in between sets to re-set the stage. Then finally was Hey Monday. I love Cassadee she's such a good singer. They were lots of fun and they played most of my favorite songs and I was glad I had their new album. We also filmed clips of this concert and got almost the entire song of I Don't Wanna Dance. I tried using ear plugs this time and I could hear everything just fine except my ears weren't ringing one bit after the show it was amazing! Cuz I hate that horrible ringing you get all night and the headache the next day.
Anyway the only other days were Christmas and The Yosemite trip which I already talked about so there you go, a super long post that made me sound like a stupid obsessed fan girl but hey I enjoyed myself. Next I'll have to talk about yesterday's Shea party!! Wow this is ridiculously long.
Listening to: my concert videos!
Top Products of 2010
I've been wanting to do this one for awhile but never got around to it. I'm starting to really wish I had a webcam or whatever so I could do youtube videos. I mean I have a youtube but its just so I can watch other videos and I favorited a bunch of makeup tutorials that I use often so I can find them easily when I need them. I'm starting to make up my own "looks" too. Maybe I'll look into it soon. But on to my favorite makeup products of 2010!
Concealer: Mac Studio Sculpt Concealer (I'm NW20). It's creamy it blends well and it conceals my under-eyes. I've tried sooo many different concealers and I decided to just go with a high end one because I really don't like having circles under my eyes and I have them no matter how much sleep I get.
Foundation: Revlon ColorStay for Normal/Dry skin (I'm 200 Nude). I'm also very fickle with foundation and change so often but I really love this one. It isn't drying and doesn't flake off or melt off and it blends really well into my skin tone. I always go with a drug store brand for foundation instead of high end because it's something that I use a lot of and have to re-buy often and don't want to keep spending the money over and over.
Eye Products (besides liner and mascara): I have a lot of favorites for this one. I love Urban Decay Primer Potion I use it every day under my eye makeup and it keeps it ON. Plus it doesn't crease and makes the colors brighter and truer. I have the regular one and Sin. I like them both depending on if I'm doing a more shimmery eye or not. I haven't tried the Eden one, I got it for my mom and I might borrow it just to try it once. For eyeshadow, I really can't choose between the Coastal Scents palettes and the Urban Decay deluxe palette. I love my Coastal Scents palettes I have the 88 shimmer and the 88 warm. They are so cheap especially for getting 88 colors! The little pots are small but still plenty I haven't even begun to run out of any of the colors. I use the shimmer one a lot more but the warm is still good, plus they are such good quality and super pigmented. I probably use my Urban Decay one the most, the colors are so pretty and smooth and you can do bright looks or super subtle ones with the same palette. Second place is the NYX kits, they each have 9 eye colors and 2 lip colors. There are 4, I think I mentioned them in another blog, but the colors are great and they are so fun to use.
Eye Liner: I looked for so long for a good liner that wouldn't slide all over my face by the end of the night. I decided to go high end and get a Mac one, it was my first Mac product and I was pretty disappointed. So I was about to give up when I saw the Urban Decay 24/7 liners and I was like well it says 24/7 so I'll try it. So glad I did, it's my favorite! It glides on so smooth and stays put! I got Zero, the black one and then I tried the 24/7 Jackpot which had 9 mini sizes of great colors and a full size Zero and I use them all! Best eyeliner.
Mascara: This is a weird story kind of. I NEVER wore mascara, I wore it for my wedding and that's it. I never liked how it seemed to make my eyelashes clumpy and sticky and irritate my contact lenses. Pretty much I had just never gotten a good quality one. But I did this look that sort of made my bottom lashes look really puny and used my mom's mascara just for that one day. I liked it so I decided to try one and then I just went from there and now I have 4 different kinds. My favorite is probably the NYX Dolleye Volume but I just got a little sample size of Benefit Badgal Lash and I really like that one too.
Lips: For lipstick probably Mac in Angel and for gloss probably a tie between Mac Lipglass in A Quiet Roar and NYX Goddess of the Night Baby Rose which is shimmery and pretty much colorless but I put it over other glosses and lipsticks for shine. Plus it smells sooo good!
Hair Product: I really have 2 (3 kind of) that I can't go without. The first is Macadamia Oil hair mask. Twice a week I take a little bit of that, mix in a few drops of the Macadamia Oil and leave it in my hair for the rest of my shower and then rinse it out. It makes my hair so unbelievably soft. I also use Redkin Satin Wear blow dry lotion. It protects your hair from the heat of your blow dryer which is important but also it just makes my hair so silky (haha I almost wrote sickly) and soft and I just wanna swish it around like a shampoo commercial. I use about 2 pumps or 1 1/2 and comb it through my hair with my fingers and then whatever is left I smooth over the top of my head.
Other stuff: Physicians Formula Powder Palette Mineral Glow Pearls in Light Bronze Pearl whew that was a lot haha. I use this as a bronzer and since I'm pretty pale it works wonders, it's really light and doesn't make me look bronze or orange, just gives a slight glow and blends my makeup at my jawline and hairline.
My Coastal Scents brushes. They were uber cheap and good quality. Seriously one Mac or Benefit brush costs more than the whole collection of like 12. These and my one NYX crease brush are all I use. (Note: The Dermalogica stuff would be on here but I got it this year so it will likely go on next year's review!)
K so that's it for that but I have so many ideas for this blog I have to make myself slow down and not write too much at once! Just for future note to self, I want to do a best days of 2010 post and a through the years a la Blair type of thing. So look out for those guys, I mean nobody, since nobody reads this yet and talk to you never!

So look out for those guys, I mean nobody, since nobody reads this yet and talk to you never!

don't change for anyone
So I was watching a Shane Dawson video and he asked at the end what's something people are always trying to change about you? or something like that and I saw all the comments and it was kinda sad. People said their friends or family were trying to change all this stuff about them. So it reminded me of something that happened when I was in like 6th grade. I was wearing this awesome sparkly belt, it was white with tons of sparkles all over it. And when we went out for recess or break or whatever it was, my two best friends were like "take that belt off, its so stupid," and pretty much just yanked it off me, stuffed it in my backpack and were like, "phew that's better." Then about two months or so later, everyone at school was wearing sparkly belts and they were all over the stores. And one of my friends was even like, "remember when you had one of those and we made you take it off and now everyone is wearing them." Yeah cuz I was a trendsetter bitchezzzzz. I bought two more of them.
So the moral of the story is that sparkly belts are awesome and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Haha.
But seriously people are bullies, especially from what I'm hearing about school now, I'm glad I'm not in high school or middle school anymore kids are brutal. Don't change what you are, don't try to be what you think people want you to be because there will always be someone who doesn't like something about you or something that you like, it's because everyone is different, it's what makes people unique. And you know what? I'm willing to bet that someday you'll find someone who loves that one thing about you that everyone else wants to change. I used to be soooo worried about what other people thought about me and wanted to fit in and "be cool" and everything. But recently, since I started at my new college I just stopped caring what people think of me. I wear what I want, do my makeup how I want and my hair and I just don't care if people think it's weird, as long as I like it that's all that matters. And it's so relaxing and less stressful to feel that way, and I'm a lot happier. I mean I'm not completely against caring what others think. I don't want to smell bad or look like I just rolled out of bed and I don't want people to think I'm a bitch or anything, but I don't care if they think I'm weird or whatever. But that's all I have to say for today. Peace.

grandpa, grades, warped, dry skin solved!
My grandpa started his chemo today. I think it went well, he didn't feel sick or anything. His memory is getting worse though, he was all confused today and tried to take his home care chemo tube thing out and my grandma had to call my mom over to tell him not to mess with it. I don't like seeing him confused, he never used to be like that until very recently. He's tough though, he's been through 3 wars including WW2 so I know he's strong. I love him and am praying for him.
So freakin finally I got my grades. I'm kinda...bummed but then I got over it and resolved to do better next semester even though I really did try, I'll just have to try harder. I know in college that a C means you did what you were supposed to do and you're right there with the average of everyone else, but I just want to see A's you know? I got an A in my DD class, a B+ in American Lit, a B in Creative Writing (because of that one thing I couldn't go to) and a C+ in British Lit. (Which for the record I didn't want to take but I have to and I have to take a second half still). Bummed about the C but what can I do. Whatever.
Finally there are bands I actually want to see at Warped Tour! They announce more every Wed. I know its stupid early to be pumped about next summer but hey gotta have something to look forward to. Enter Shikari, Of Mice and Men (with original singer Austin Carlisle), and Family Force Five! I'm hoping for Alesana, We Are the In Crowd, A Skylit Drive, Mayday Parade, possibly Hey Monday and The Ready Set though I've already seen them and most of all Breathe Carolina! I'd probably see Automatic Loveletter again too. Wow that is a super random group of people.
I've been using this Dermalogica dry skin kit and it is completely freaking AMAZING. My skin is sooo incredibly soft and all the dryness is gone. The first day I used the cleanser which looks like and is the texture of lotion. It left my face really clean and soft, not at all tight or anything. Then I used the moisture masque sample and that burned for a few minutes but then calmed down. I washed it off after 10 minutes and it made me even paler than usual for some reason but also most of the dryness was gone. Then I spritzed my face with the toner and that felt so cool and refreshing. Then I used the moisturizer and then the lip balm. The lip balm is the most soft smooth best lip balm I've evvvver used in the world ever. The second day I did the same thing except instead of the masque I used the exfoliant. This stuff is also amazing it made my skin so smooth, I had these tiny bumps on my cheeks and they disappeared. Today I used the sample of precleanse and that was nice, I did a facial massage using that. The only downside which is a huge downside is that I looked up what it would cost to buy a full bottle of everything and it came out to like $280!! So I might just keep getting the kit and only get full sized bottles of the two sample things. You're only supposed to use the masque and exfoliator twice a week anyway. Oh yeah and then in the morning before I put on my makeup I use First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream Intense Therapy. Yep. Oh and I painted my nails with Sephora by OPI Techno Girl which is bright freakin pink. Yessssssss.

haul + book stuff
Hi guys! I'm in such a good mood today, I don't know why. Anyway, ok so I don't have a webcam, I do have a video camera but we lost the thing that plugs into the computer, Kenneth is gonna buy a replacement one soon but anyway I can't do videos so I'm just gonna do my Ulta haul in a blog, deal with it. Aimed at me, that was a deal with it to myself. PS: Ok this is so random but today my mom was like play that Kesha song (We R Who We R) which is funny cuz my mom doesn't like Kesha and you know, I sort of don't like the fact that I like her music cuz its so ridiculous, but music doesn't always have to mean something, sometimes its just fun to turn on something silly with a fun beat and dance around but anyway onto the haul.
Ok before I start, if you have no idea why I would do a haul, its just something I like watching other girls do on youtube and I'm gonna do it myself cuz its fun, if you think its dumb please skip over this part.
So first I got a replacement pack of Neutrogena makeup remover wipes.
Then I got Oscar Blandi Volumizing Dry Shampoo Spray. This is because I'm going to train my hair to go 3 days without being washed because this is healthier for your hair and reduces greasiness. I got the idea from Elle Fowler (Allthatglitters21) on youtube. Basically you wash your hair on day 1, nothing on day 2, dry shampoo on day 3 and then wash the next day and do that for 2 weeks and it will be less greasy and able to go the 3 days without looking gross or needing the dry shampoo.
Then I got a NYX Cosmetics Smokey Look Kit which has 9 eyeshadows and 2 glosses and is pretty cheap. I now have all 4. (Nude on Nude, Bronze Smokey Look, Purple Smokey Look and this one).
Then the last thing I got was to fix my face if you remember yesterday I was talking about my face being so dry, I got a Dermalogica Dry skin kit. It comes with little mini sizes of 5 Dermalogica products that are really hydrating and also 2 one time use samples. I'm gonna use it tonight and see if it makes my skin any better. I'm actually really excited about it because these are nice quality products and wasn't too expensive because they are all small sizes.
So basically this blog is for me to write little frivolous things that are just fun like makeup stuff but also I'll write meaningful stuff when it comes up which I know it will. Its just a mixture of everything right now.
Now on to books. I love love love to read. For my next semester however, I need to buy 18 books. That's right, EIGHTEEN freakin books and even though I love to read, I don't love to read school books! I have a Nintendo DS and I got a cartridge that has 100 classic books which I was so excited about because I want to read all the classics and I was looking through the book list going "oo I want to read that one and that one and that one..." But I think that I should read some of the Shakespeare ones because I am taking a Shakespeare class next semester, not for fun, I'm not the biggest fan of his, its for the pedagogy/authors requirement and we have to read like 6 or 7 of his plays. And that just kills my fun. I wanted to get another True Blood book I'm on the 5th one I think? And I wanted to try the House Of Night books and also read some more of the classics like I read Tom Sawyer and now I'm reading Huckleberry Finn. I love Huck. I wish I could name my future kid Huckleberry without him hating me forever, or at least just Huck. Anyway I was going to talk about The Time Traveler's Wife but this is getting so long so I'll talk about it tomorrow.
Oh ya one more thing! The thing that's making me happy is that I'm working on my story, its about 4 girls and they each have their own section and I'm working on the first girl's and she reminds me of Taylor Swift so I was listening to her music to get in the spirit. I don't want to give too much away yet. K bye!

New Year!!!
So I've finally started a blogger thingy which was my only New Year's resolution. Done. Completed all my goals for this year. Haha. Anyway so yeah. Don't really know what to say. Let's start with my face. I ended the year with a super awesome trip to Yosemite with my husband Kenneth and friend Luke. We stayed in a cozy little tent-cabin and by cozy I mean ridiculously freezing cold and nothing in it but a shelf and two beds really close to each other. I learned how to sleep in a mummy bag. Here's the story and then I'll get to the my face part but I'm tangent crazed right now.
So, I laid there for like 3 hours not sleeping and then I sat up and Luke was like, "I can't sleep." And Kenneth said he couldn't really sleep too well either. I said I was kinda cold so I smushed down into the bag and Kenneth and Luke put the hood part over my head and pulled the drawstring closed around my face so that only my nose and like one eye were exposed. Once I was all wrapped up like a burrito Luke said that he really wished there was a staircase around. (Thanks). Anyway, it rained all day the first day, snowed all day the next and froze the next so it was really cold like it got down to 17 degrees. It was fun. But now my face is sooooooo dry and chapped and my skin is like "help me!!" I've been using this face lotion of my mom's. I think its helping but its so greasy that I would never use it unless it was a dire situation like now. I don't think I'll break out though, I've never broken out ever, not even when I was a teenager. I never had pimples, I guess I'm just lucky in that department.
We filmed our whole trip, maybe I'll put some of it on youtube or something later.
So I think I'll do a Christmas haul, I didn't get a whole lot so it won't sound like bragging or anything. Here we go. From my mom, I got a bottle of Mac makeup brush cleanser and a lipstick in Myth. Its so pretty and I've been wishing for both of those for a while now. I also got a triple barrel curling iron (I told her I only wanted one if it was cheap which it was). I also got a True Blood calendar. From Beth and Kris I got an Eclipse calendar (I'm sensing a theme here). From Kenneth I got Benefit tinted moisturizer You Rebel Lite. He also got me this awesome little Urban Decay travel palette that comes with 3 eye colors, a blush and 3 lipglosses. The palette and moisturizer were perfect to take camping so I didn't have to bring or wear a lot of makeup but could still feel pretty. My grandma gave me money, and both Kenneth's grandmas and dad gave us gift cards. Luke gave me a SWORD. Ok so it was a joke, I was supposed to swap the sword with the lotion he got Kenneth. It's actually the best hand lotion I've ever used. Zach got us a gift card to Best Buy and Troy got me a pair of Spy sunglasses that were supposed to be like 120 dollars and he got for I think 20 at the secret sale.
I got Kenneth a box of See's candy and an IOU for some new clothes, since I think it would be better for him to pick them out himself. I got Beth a hat with cat ears on it and the two sides hang way down and are cat paw shaped mittens. I got Kris a Deadmouse or however you spell it t-shirt. I got dad a pair of slippers and a button that says "OMG a double rainbow!!" and a box of chocolates and a bottle of tequila. Those were from me, ken, mom, tom and beth. Me and Mom got Tom a tower from Harry and David and Sees candy and Hickory Farms box. I got my mom an Urban Decay palette. I don't know what it's called but its the purple and black one with a gun on it. She wanted some more colors, but not anything crazy and I think those colors are perfect, the only downside is they're a little sparkly. It also came with Primer Potion in Eden (the matte one).
So basically for the new year, I don't really have any resolutions. Last year was amazing, and I just hope this year will be too. I want to get straight A's next semester, but that's always a goal (BTW they still haven't posted our grades from last semester I don't know what the hell is up). I want to start going back to the gym and continue gradually being healthier and cooking more. I want to work on my stories. But those are ongoing. I hope I can keep up with this blog, even though no one is reading it now, maybe someday some people will so they can go back and read the ones they miss. Happy New Year 2011!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
