Update

So I feel really stupid about complaining in my last post, I'm sorry and just ignore it, I was just having a bad day or something. Anyway, I have a few things to talk about including my trip to the Salton Sea and something I get to do this weekend that I am excited about. I will hopefully have the post up tomorrow! Talk to you guys soon!

Balancing It Out

Random post time. I want to complain a little bit to get it off my mind but first I'll talk about a fun time to even it out. So yesterday was kinda fun. Me and Kenneth and Zach went to Boomers for a little while, I hadn't been there in so long. We got this package deal kinda thing where we got a round of mini golf and 20 game tokens. So we did the mini golf and the first time we kept score on the little card and everything and it was really fun! It was dark but the place stays open until late like 11 I think. So, I know this is wrong but we skipped the last hole and jumped over to the other golf course, it wasn't crowded or anything. On that one we just messed around, on one hole we all hit our balls at the same time and all three went in! It looked really cool. And we just tried to race through the course as fast as we could because we were going to pick up my sister from the airport at midnight and we wanted to eat something first. It made it funny and we laughed a lot.

Then we went into the arcade to spend our tokens and decided to make it a competition and see who could get the most tickets. Winner!! I beat them both haha suckerzzzz. It's so crazy because when you are little the toys you can get with the tickets seem like the coolest things in the world and you will try so hard to like save up your tickets and everything and then you realize that most of the stuff in there can be bought elsewhere with a quarter.

We left after that and decided to go to Sonic. I never go there because the closest one used to be about 45 minutes away but they built one in the next town over about a year or two ago. We were close though so we went and I got an Ocean Water which is what I always get when I get a chance to go to Sonic like on road trips or whatever. Then we went to the airport and picked Beth up. Her trip to Florida sounded so cool, I'm jealous, I wish I could go somewhere like that.

So here's my complaining, you can skip this part if you want and I'll keep it short. I spent all of last semester running myself into the ground. I would rush home from school, and do only homework until midnight and then go to sleep and get up and go to school and do it again. On weekends, I spent almost the whole weekend doing schoolwork. I would allow myself maybe one thing like hanging out with friends just for a few hours or go shopping with my mom or something. Even when my grandpa was in the hospital I would bring my schoolbooks and study there for hours trying to keep my mom and grandma company. I was just hoping that I would get to do something cool this summer. Anyway, I know I can't do all the stuff I wanted but I was hoping for some of it. It now doesn't look like I will be able to do anything except Warped Tour and we bought our tickets ages ago when the pre-sales first came out. There's just too many things we need to pay for instead. We did add one thing. We got tickets for the Scream It Like You Mean It Tour. At least that sounds fun. I feel like a spoiled baby complaining, but I was just really stressed and thought it would be so good for me to get away for even a few days. Oh well.

The Voice

Dammit! I wrote this whole post out and then it just randomly disappeared and went back a page. Lame.
Anyway, I was saying that I wanted to write a frivolous post about a tv show called The Voice. I don't watch much tv at all but I have been watching this show with my mom and it's really good, a lot better than American Idol which can get really boring at times. Anyway, the semi finals were last night and now they have two people left from each team.
From Team Christina I like Beverly just a little bit better than Frenchie. She has always been one of my favorites from the beginning. From Team Blake I like Dia a little better than Xenia. They both have the most amazing unique tone to their voices but Dia seems like she has a stronger direction than Xenia, who is just so young and the songs she's singing aren't doing anything for her. From Team CeeLo I like Vicki just a tiny bit better than the other guy, I can't remember how to spell his name. They are both so good, but Vicki just has a little more spark, she could win I think. From Team Adam I like both Casey and Javier but to be honest I think he made a mistake in letting Jeff go. He was really amazing, I wanted to see him sing again! I miss him. =(
Well the results are on tonight in a few minutes.
I also have been watching So You Think You Can Dance. This show has been my favorite forever, I've watched every season except the first two. This season is really really good, I don't even have a favorite yet really. Maybe I'll review it and pretend my opinion matters. We'll see. Anyway just wanted to write for a little bit, oh yeah! The Hunger Games is getting sooo crazy. It's so good but it's really intense. I've read the first book twice now because I was reading it with Kenneth and we finished and are now on the second one. I like being able to talk to him about it. There is one thing that has been bugging me the whole series and I hope it gets resolved the way I want it to because it is always there in the back of my mind. I need to finish that last book already.
Bye guys!

TAG Time!

I forgot what this tag is called, but I tag everyone ever and I got this from Lizzy (Don't Forget to Sparkle!) I'm following her and you should too!

   1. Is it cute when guys kiss you on your forehead?
I don't know why but yes I think it's the cutest thing ever.

   2. A big poofy dress or a short party dress?
Why would I wear a big poofy dress? If I had an occasion to I would I guess, but I don't know where I would wear one, besides my wedding and my dress was kind of poofy!

   3. Are diamonds a girl's best friend?
    A sad lonely girl maybe.

   4. Is your hair up or down today?
Up, I usually wear it up and out of the way when I'm hanging around home.

   5. Do you straighten your hair?
    Yes, often.

   6. Favorite mascara?
I did a whole blog post about it on my beauty channel, but I think right now I like Loreal Telescopic Explosion and Benefit Bad Gal Lash.

   7. Do you get your nails done?
No, I hate having fake nails (I can't take out my contact lenses!) and I would rather not spend the money to have them painted when I can easily do it myself!

   8. Small or large purses?
Medium. Large enough to hold stuff but not a pain to haul around.

   9. Jeans or sweats?
Jeans, I wear them almost every day, they go with everything and are comfortable but still look nice.

  10. Do you wear clothes/shoes/jewelry that's uncomfortable?
Sometimes I wear shoes that are uncomfortable like heels but only for special occasions. I'm really into being comfortable, but I don't want to look slobby.

  11. Do you text message a lot?
Yes. I'm not glued to my phone, but texting is sometimes easier than calling.

  12. Whats your favorite color?
    Pink.

  13. Heels or flats?
I love the look of heels but I have such a hard time walking in them. I don't know how women do it. If I do happen to wear heels, I cling to Kenneth's arm the whole time so I won't fall. I am getting better at it. It's really hard to find flats that are cute too.

  14. Would you ever leave the house without makeup on?
Yes, but I don't prefer to. I feel better if I at least have under eye concealer on.

  15. Walmart or Target?
    I haaaaate Walmart.

  16. Do you think lip gloss is the best!?
    Of course.

  17. Do you own any big sunglasses?
    Yep, my favorite kind!

  18. How long does it take you to get ready in the morning?
About an hour. That's if I shower, eat breakfast, dry and straighten my hair and do my makeup.

  19. Gold or silver?
    Silver.

  20. Do you like to wear dresses?
Sometimes but I get cold easily. Especially where I live, it can be perfect weather for a dress during the day but it usually gets chilly at night.

  21. In the last 48 hours have you hung out with a guy?
Haha yes. Last night I played basketball with Kenneth, Luke, Troy and Zach.

  22. Do you like to hold hands?
    I love it.

  23. What do you notice when you first meet a guy?
    Probably voice and hair.

  24. Do you like making eye contact?
    No, it makes me uncomfortable.

  25. Would you kill for chocolate?
    Mayyyybe.

  26. On a scale from 1-10 how fun is shopping?
Depends on what I'm shopping for! Clothes or makeup= 10 but I hate shopping for groceries!

  27. Do you yell a lot?
No, I'm usually pretty quiet, but sometimes I get loud.

  28. Do you wear sweatpants/pajamas to school/work?
Nope. I don't mind if someone wants to wear sweats but pajamas? Come on at least make an effort to put some clothes on.

  29. Have you ever dressed unlike yourself to impress a guy?
No, I don't really have clothes that are unlike myself in the first place, but I wouldn't do it anyway because it makes no sense.

  30. What makeup could you not live without?
Under eye concealer, eyeshadow primer and lip gloss/balm. I mean of course I could live but what kind of life would that be!? Haha.

  31. Do you fall in love easily?
    Yes, in a way.

  32. Do you have cramps?
    Yes.

  33. Do you think you have the bestest friend ever?
It might sound cheesy but Kenneth really is my best friend, we do everything together. <3

Family Time

"So they brought in like 100 strippers from Arizona."
"I guess we have better strippers there?"
"Wait, strippers to drive the cabs?"
"You know what this party needs? A hundred more strippers. We will NOT let this happen again."

I love my family. Ten seconds of any conversation would be the best 10 seconds of your life.

Grandpa's interment was really nice. We were outside, on top of a hill overlooking the ocean shore with the city behind it. The minister was great. My uncles and aunt flew in from NV and TX, a cousin from TX, a cousin and her husband from AZ, a cousin from San Fransisco. Along with those of us from here. The minister read the poem I wrote, I knew I wouldn't be able to read it without choking up and he did a REALLY good job, way better than I could do. I need to work on my reading voice I guess. Everyone complimented me a lot on the poem and some want copies of it, that made me feel good. It's always nice to have your work appreciated and I enjoyed writing it. It was really sad, but I think the fairly large gap between the time he actually died and now made it a little easier, I got all of my crying out before so I was sad, but ok. There were Marines there who gave him a gun shoot salute thing.
Afterward we all went to Grandma's and ate sandwiches and watched the picture DVD that Kenneth and my mom made of grandpa and the family. The next day they all came here and we had pizza. Everybody is gone now and I feel lonely.

Bender vs. Australia

So we had a nice little BBQ yesterday. We invited 3 of our friends and my Grandma and my uncle who just came in from Texas for the interment on Thursday. That is what we are calling the funeral because it isn't really a funeral, we are just putting his ashes into the space. So altogether there were 10 people, not including my sister who was only there for a few minutes really.
We had a good time, all except for poor little Bender. My stepdad was giving food to the dogs and I don't really know what happened but all of a sudden Sam attacked Bender. Sam is a AmStaff/pit mix and my parent's dog and Bender is a chihuahua and he's mine. It's really weird because Sam is usually really mellow and he has lived with Bender since Ben was a puppy. I scooped him up just as my mom was pulling Sam off him and at first he seemed ok, just scared but then I noticed blood on top of his head. He has a pretty deep puncture there, but it is at an angle so the skin lays over the wound and didn't bleed much. I was considering taking him to the vet, but I don't think there is much they can do. The wound won't need stitches because of the angle, and he had a rough night but he doesn't seem to be in pain anymore. We are keeping it clean for him and he can't reach it to lick it or anything. The side of his face is a little swollen around his eye and cheek. Poor little guy.
We were talking about how all the deadliest snakes and other creatures all seem to live in Australia. Everyone decided to stay away from Australia except for Luke and me. I would still like to go there, I think the chances of my encountering one of those creatures in one visit are somewhat slim, especially since I wouldn't really plan to be bushwhacking my way through jungles and camping out in the outback. Although come to think of it, both of those options seem pretty fun too ;)

Rambly - Dogs, Supernatural, new dress etc...

Hi guys, how is your weekend going? It is the weekend right? I'm not in school so I'm not very good at keeping track of days haha. So I went downstairs to get a glass of water and there was a big rabbit just chilling out there. I walked up to it and it let me get pretty close but then Chloe came outside and I yelled for it to run away and it did. There are rabbits in the backyard all the time and it's weird because we have four dogs! A pit bull mix, a American staffordshire mix and two chihuahua mixes.
Anyway, we went to the farmer's market again and it didn't seem to be as much good stuff this time but my sister got two saris and I liked the saris but I really was drawn to this maxi dress. Then I was like, "eh where am I really gonna wear a maxi dress?" so I got a similar one but short. It's pretty but I think it's in my sister's room and she is taking a nap so I'll have to get it later to take a pic.
My sister is obsessed with the TV show Supernatural. She is always asking me to watch it with her so finally this morning we watched the first episode. I thought it was pretty good, so we will probably watch some more. She wanted me to watch Vampire Diaries too but ehhhhhhh I dunno about that. Oh! I got my husband to read the first chapter of The Hunger Games with me last night muwahahahaha. He doesn't like reading but he knows the only way to really get better at it is to do it more often. So we read it together and he seemed to like it so far.
Chloe is such a baby!! She just sits there staring at me and crying until I pick her up and then when I do all she wants to do is lick my face and it's gross. Now she is done licking and curled up on my lap sleeping. She wants to be with me all the time, but it's ok, I don't mind being smothered. Kenneth is clingy and I am clingy and Chloe is clingy so it all works out. Bender isn't really clingy though so he gets annoyed at all the cuddling and usually sleeps under the bed unless he gets cold. Well, this was a completely rambling post but whatever. Bye!
PS: I think I might be going on vacation soon but I have no idea where yet and I also want to go to the fair! Is it here yet? I don't think so. I want to go bungee jumping.
